Farnham

German-born punchcutter Johann Fleischman, contemporary of Baskerville and Fournier, worked at the Enschede Foundry in Haarlem. Expert in advanced tools and the qualities of fine steel, he pushed beyond the frontiers of his time, cutting active typefaces famous worldwide for their “sparkle.” Christian Schwartz focused on Fleischman’s exuberant angularity, carrying it to all weights of his new Farnham series: FB 2004.

Max Miedinger

Max Miedinger urodził się w 1910 r. w Zurychu w Szwajcarii, zmarł zaś tamże w 1980 r.
 
Gdy ukończył 16 lat, za radą ojca w latach 1926-30 szkolił się na zecera w wydawnictwie Jacquesa Bollmanna w Zurychu, później zaś uczęszczał na zajęcia wieczorowe na zurychskiej Kunstgewerbeschule (uczelni sztuk pięknych i rzemiosła). W latach 1930-36, czyli w trakcie studiów i niedługo po nich, pracował jako zecer dla różnych firm.
